Studying is for people who lack confidence in their own knowledge. I have not studied for a test in my life, I have the amazing ability to walk into a test saying "well im gonna fail" only to find out I get 84%.

Hah this is like my "What should I do" thread. And like Ultimate Gaara, I have never studied for a test and get good grades. But I think I might actually study for my finals. My averages are:

Religion: 80% yes I go to a catholic school
Math: 95%
Science:96%
English:82%
Social: 90%

Wow, I always thought the D- was just a myth... in my school we don't get D's, only A,B,C+,C,C-,I,F.

I have exams in 2 weeks and i have not intention of studying for them, go me.

I study for tests when I think I need to. But generally tests are way too easy for me. I'll probably study for my AP US History final... but the rest I feel like I've dominated those classes enough.

I'm pretty sure I have an A in all of my classes except for that APUSH class... Its a beast.

I've always been pretty bad at history, but I'm damn good at WW2 (Thank you history channel!).

Oh well, my tests are next week and I should get excellent grades this semester. Go me!

Science this year is the hardest class I've ever had. I've seen people with over 4.0 GPA's freak out about a test. I'm in the top 4, or I was, percentile of my grade and I'm the dumb one in the class.

I think it had more to do with the fact that my grades started to drop because I had just gotten Guild Wars and decided it was my life's calling. Or the fact I was thoroughly displeased about NOT having a summer last year. Or the fact I had 6 courses that semester, and a teacher who no one could understand.

I had a lot of variables stacked against me. Oh, and what we were taught in class wasn't on the final because that would actually make sense. Besides, I work better under the pressure so procrastination ftw.

Yeah, that happened to me in one class.

It's not that I didn't know the material, I just forgot to show up for the exam. D:

studying makes you realise how much you DONT know and gets you worried. If you dont study it will suddenly come to you when you need it most

works for me

i dont study now because its high school. once i hit college though its gonna be hardcore studying for me. doubt u will see me on the forums during the week. prolly only on the weekends and maybe only once a month. i have to live on campus and i think the only place i can connect to the interent is the library and they dont like people on the forums lol. so unless i get a laptop and theres some unknow internet hookup in my room im guessing im stuck w/ no GW and no GWG while im at college. o well just leaves more tiems for my studies.

I barely ever:
- Do my assignments (unless major grade)
- Write any notes/etc.
- Study anything
- even bring materials to class

What I made on finals (which were before Winter break here):
98
99
-Didnt have to take-
96
100
97

Lowest grade I made in a class was 91.

In the words of Guy Browning:

Revision is foreplay for exams: the more you do the better results you'll get. There are five stages for revision: get a book, skim the book, highlight the good bits, learn the good bits, think of a mnemonic. Mnemonics are funny little words like FRJNAYTOAD which represents the first letter of all the early Roman emperors. They only work if you can remember what the mnemonic os for in the first place. A good example of this is Richard Of York Gave Battle In Vain, which helps you to remember how to tell the weather simply by looking at the clouds: Red Overhead, You'll Go Blue In a Vest. Fifty years later when you've forgotten that the Romans even had an empire, you'll still remember FRJNAYTOAD. It's just a shame you can't go into an exam, write your name, FRJNAYTOAD, and then clear off.

___

This time next year, I'll have mock GCSEs, which decide whether or not i'll be able to get in to the elitist sixth form we have in the elitist school I attend. In order to get into the sixth form, we need to get at least 6 As... AND we need to get As in the subjects we intend to study at AS and A2. Isn't that great. But for now, I have A View From the Bridge to analyze... and soon I will have masses of potatoes to measure above and below... isotonic point... osmosis...

As you can see, we just love tests here in England.
